Softball Recap: Clayton Comes Up Short

Clayton had taken Pennsville Memorial down for five straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Clippers lost 18-2 to the Eagles. The game marked the Clippers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Clayton and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Pennsville Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Clayton will square off against Palmyra at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pennsville Memorial, they will face off against Haddon Heights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
