Volleyball Recap: Linn Bulldogs vs. Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Linn had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks by a score of 2-0.
Linn's not only won, but also showed off some consistency: keeping Wheatland-Grinnell between 19 and 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19.
Marcella Huerta paced Linn's offense, picking up seven kills. Huerta got some help from
Gretchen Bott and her 17 assists. Bott was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.
Linn has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-19 record this season. As for Wheatland-Grinnell, their loss dropped their record down to 31-11.
