Mira Costa walked away with a 3-1 victory over Palos Verdes on Friday. That's two games straight that the Mustangs have won by exactly two goals.

They hit Palos Verdes with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Rowan Rawal, Trenton Zimmermann, and Devin Diba.

Despite a strong season so far, El Segundo has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Redondo Union on Tuesday. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Eagles couldn't quite close it out.

Mira Costa pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those six matchups. As for El Segundo, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3-1.

Mira Costa came out on top in a nail-biter against El Segundo in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, sneaking past 3-2. Will Mira Costa repeat their success, or does El Segundo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
