Fenton came tearing into  Thursday's  contest with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Kearsley Hornets  a   16-0 shutout. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season,  with their most recent  victory being a  14-0  win  back in April.
 Lillian Tillier was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   four  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI and two  runs.
 In other batting news, Fenton let  Ally Turkowski and  Izzy MacCaughan run wild. Turkowski  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles, while  MacCaughan  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. Those  two  doubles gave  Turkowski a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Abby Golen, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 Fenton  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .773. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Fenton's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 18-3-1. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Kearsley,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Fenton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hornets: the pair will be back at it again later today.
