Baseball Game Preview: Hug Hawks vs. South Tahoe Vikings

Hug is 0-10 against South Tahoe since May of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Hug Hawks will look to defend their home field against the South Tahoe Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Hug has given up an average of 12 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Hug is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They lost 18-5 to Lowry.

Hug saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Erick Tamayo, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Those RBI were Tamayo's first of the season.

Meanwhile, South Tahoe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 10-5 to Fernley.

Hug's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for South Tahoe, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
