Baseball Recap: Donna Comes Up Short

If Donna was riding high fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Pace last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Redskins lost 12-5 to the Weslaco East Wildcats on Tuesday. The Redskins haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Donna saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roydaniel Gomez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Donna's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Weslaco East, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

While Donna had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
