Football Game Preview: Wauseon Indians vs. Liberty Center Tigers

The Wauseon Indians are taking a road trip to challenge the Liberty Center Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Wauseon will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any points last Friday, then bounced right back against Bryan on Friday. The Indians simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Golden Bears 49-14. Considering the Indians' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Liberty Center put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand Delta a 39-0 shutout. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Panthers are ranked 268th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Liberty Center's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Wauseon, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Wauseon was taken down by Liberty Center 52-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
