Softball Recap: Bothell Cougars vs. Eastlake Wolves
After flying high against Hazen on Monday, Bothell came back down to earth. The Cougars fell just short of the Eastlake Wolves by a score of 12-11 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-3 back in March.
Noelle Solvang was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Kolbi Schmer was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.
Bothell's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-8. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Eastlake, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.
