Volleyball Game Preview: Maranacook Black Bears vs. Camden Hills Windjammers

Maranacook is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Camden Hills a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Maranacook Black Bears will welcome the Camden Hills Windjammers at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Maranacook beat Orono 3-1.

Meanwhile, Camden Hills narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past North Yarmouth Academy 3-2.

Camden Hills was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 23-25, 20-25, 25-15, 15-4.

Maranacook's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Camden Hills, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Maranacook came up short against Camden Hills when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Black Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
