Basketball Recap: Sayreville Takes a Loss

Sayreville lost against Metuchen back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Sayreville Bombers took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Metuchen Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Bombers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 154th).

Sayreville dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Metuchen, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Sayreville has already played their next matchup (against Highland Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Metuchen will head out to take on Timothy Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 29th.
