Softball Recap: Rosemount Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Rosemount came out on top against North on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run first inning. The Irish never let the Polars get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Irish, who have now won three contests in a row.

Anna Price was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Price was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season.

In other batting news, Jorey Fry was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Rachel Stone was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Rosemount's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for North, they moved to 9-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Rosemount is taking a road trip to challenge Shakopee at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hastings at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
