Baseball Recap: Arapahoe Victorious

Arapahoe came out on top against Smoky Hill on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Warriors took their contest against the Buffaloes 6-1. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Buffaloes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Jackson Cadwallader looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, Arapahoe saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cain Gostenik, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double. Another was Matt Dollaghan, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Arapahoe's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Smoky Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
