Soccer Recap: Harnett Central Comes Up Short

Harnett Central fought the good fight in their overtime game against Terry Sanford on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. Harnett Central's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Makayla Abbott and Peyton Black scored both of Harnett Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Harnett Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Terry Sanford, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

While Harnett Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
