Last Thursday, Appling County earned a 2-0 victory over Vidalia. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Appling County was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-6.

Meanwhile, Bryan County came up short against Savannah Country Day on Thursday and fell 2-0. The Redskins have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-15.

Appling County's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Bryan County, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-14.

Appling County came out on top in a nail-biter against Bryan County in their previous meeting back in August, sneaking past 2-1.
