Softball Recap: Southern Lehigh Drops Season-High Score on Catasauqua

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southern Lehigh). They blew past the Catasauqua Rough Riders 19-3 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won eight games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Southern Lehigh is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Catasauqua, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Southern Lehigh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Catasauqua, they will venture away from home to challenge Notre Dame at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
