Basketball Recap: Pekin Comes Up Short

Pekin was the 48-35 winner over East Peoria when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Pekin Dragons fell 53-46 to the East Peoria Raiders on Tuesday.

Pekin has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 16-13 record this season. As for East Peoria, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-16.

Looking ahead, Pekin will square off against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Pekin surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Peoria, they will be playing at home against Peoria at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. East Peoria is on a four-game streak of home losses, Peoria an 11-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change.
