Football Game Preview: Quakertown Panthers vs. Council Rock South Golden Hawks

The Quakertown Panthers will face off against the Council Rock South Golden Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Quakertown's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Harry S. Truman, posting a 47-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.

Kyler Roesener was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 154 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 79 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Martin, who threw for 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Quakertown was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 317 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Meanwhile, Council Rock South hadn't done well against Souderton recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Golden Hawks walked away with a 14-7 win over the Indians.

Council Rock South's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Quakertown, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Everything went Quakertown's way against Council Rock South in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Quakertown made off with a 21-0 victory. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
