Robstown had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Jourdanton Indians/Squaws. For the Cottonpickers, this counts as revenge for the 11-1 win the Indians/Squaws walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2023.

Robstown's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Jourdanton, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Robstown and Jourdanton's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Robstown will face off against Edinburg North at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, a squad that's only allowed 2.42 runs per game. Robstown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season. Meanwhile, Jourdanton and Hebbronville (who has only given up three runs per game) will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
