Volleyball Recap: Andover Golden Warriors vs. Methuen Rangers

Andover lost against Methuen back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Golden Warriors came up short against the Rangers, falling 3-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Golden Warriors were not able to get on the board.

Andover couldn't get the W, but boy did they fight for it: two sets took extra rallies. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 28-26, 27-25.

Zach Medjamia paced Andover's offense, picking up 14 kills. Medjamia got some help from Hank Schwartz and his 37 assists. Charles Ke controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Andover's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Methuen, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

After both having extra time off, Andover and Essex Tech will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. The Hawks will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Golden Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Methuen, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Boston College High on the 17th.
