Basketball Recap: TEACH Homeschool Takes a Loss

TEACH Homeschool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Rock Church Lions, falling 68-46. The Beach Breakers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Rock Church's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Miles Dawkins led the charge by putting up 19 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Dawkins is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 16 games he's played dating back to last season. Rylan Holloman was another key player, posting 17 points and five rebounds.

TEACH Homeschool's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Rock Church, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

TEACH Homeschool will face off against StoneBridge at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Rock Church, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gateway Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th. Rock Church is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.3 points per game this season.
