Softball Recap: Chapel Hill Tigers vs. East Chapel Hill Wildcats
It was a proper cat-fight when Chapel Hill challenged East Chapel Hill on Friday. The Tigers walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Wildcats. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in April, they had to take a 12-4 defeat.

Channing Clark made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
In other batting news, Alexandra (Kes) Duncan was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The win made it two in a row for Chapel Hill and bumps their season record up to 8-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for East Chapel Hill, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7.
