Baseball Recap: Panther Valley Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Panther Valley proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 13) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Executive Education Academy Charter School Raptors 7-5. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gavin Yuricheck was excellent, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. He has become a key player for Panther Valley: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 0-4 otherwise. Cameron Caffery was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Panther Valley's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4. As for Executive Education Academy Charter School, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Panther Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Tamaqua on the 15th. As for Executive Education Academy Charter School, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on High Point Baptist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 25th.
