Basketball Recap: Katy Taylor Comes Up Short

Katy Taylor lost against Paetow back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Katy Taylor Mustangs came up short against the Paetow Panthers, falling 67-45. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 588th, while the Panthers are ranked 151st).

Katy Taylor has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season. As for Paetow, they moved to 17-14 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Katy Taylor will be playing in front of their home fans against Tompkins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Katy Taylor is facing Tompkins at the right time seeing as Tompkins is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Paetow, they will face off against Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
