Basketball Recap: Midway's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Midway was riding high fresh off their 88-51 takedown of Prairie Valley last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Midway Falcons took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Forestburg Longhorns. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Longhorns recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Forestburg's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyler Willett, who posted 17 points. The contest was Willett's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Jesse Wadsworth was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Midway's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-14. As for Forestburg, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Midway will welcome Gold-Burg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Forestburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Saint Jo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
