Football Preview: Southern Alamance Patriots vs. Southern Nash Firebirds        
        
		
             The Southern Alamance Patriots will square off against the Southern Nash Firebirds at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their  games after big wins in their previous games.
 Last Friday, Southern Alamance got the win against Chapel Hill  by a conclusive  38-14. Given the Patriots' advantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings  (they are ranked 78th, while the Tigers are ranked 241st), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Southern Alamance was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 295  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 219  rushing yards in 13 consecutive  matches  dating back to last season.
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Southern Alamance's defense and their three sacks.  Jake Whitt was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself.
 Meanwhile, Southern Nash put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Fike at home  to the tune of  58-24. Fans of the Firebirds have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+  point.
 Southern Alamance now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Southern Nash, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
 Friday's   matchup might be decided in the trenches. Southern Alamance has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 323.3  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Southern Nash struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 418.7. It's looking like  Friday's  contest might have some serious battles in the trenches.
 Southern Alamance beat Southern Nash 22-15  in their previous matchup  back in September of 2023. Does  Southern Alamance have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southern Nash turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
