Soccer Recap: McKinley Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for McKinley's offense. They fell just short of the Lordstown Red Devils by a score of 1-0 on Monday. McKinley were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lordstown apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

McKinley's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Lordstown, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7-2.

Looking ahead, McKinley will venture away from home to square off against Poland Seminary at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Poland Seminary's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so McKinley's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Lordstown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pymatuning Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
