Basketball Game Preview: Los Lunas Tigers vs. Farmington Scorpions

The Los Lunas Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Farmington Scorpions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Los Lunas will be strutting in after a victory while Farmington will be coming in after a defeat.

It was a proper cat-fight when Los Lunas faced off against Piedra Vista on Friday. Los Lunas walked away with a 42-35 win over Piedra Vista.

Farmington has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-50 heartbreaker at the hands of Artesia. The matchup marked the Scorpions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Farmington's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Los Lunas, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Los Lunas strolled past Farmington when the teams last played back in January by a score of 49-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Los Lunas since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
