Basketball Recap: Greenbrier Comes Up Short

Greenbrier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 55-44 to the Station Camp Bison. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bison this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-46 back in January.

Station Camp was led to victory by Seth Bailey and Ty Thurston. Bailey went 8 for 11 on his way to 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Thurston went 6 of 8 en route to 17 points in addition to six assists and five boards. Bailey is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last five games he's played. Turner Moore was another key player, putting up five points and five assists.

Greenbrier's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Station Camp, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Bobcats duke it out with the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Portland will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Greenbrier surely won't give up without a fight. As for Station Camp, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Sycamore at 7:30 p.m. Station Camp is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.7 points per game this season.
