Basketball Game Preview: New Albany Bulldogs vs. Bloomington North Cougars

The New Albany Bulldogs will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Bloomington North Cougars at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in New Albany's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Bloomington North has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

New Albany is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Indiana's top teams: Brownstown Central, who was ranked 12th at the time (New Albany was ranked 13th). New Albany secured a 66-61 W over Brownstown Central on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Bloomington North ended up a good deal behind Greenwood on Tuesday and lost 67-52. The Cougars were down 54-34 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

New Albany will have to contain Luke Lindman as he made an impact in Bloomington North's last game. He went 5-for-7 to rack up 15 points and five rebounds. What's more, Lindman posted two assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ka'Mareon Washington, who put up nine points.

Even though they lost, Bloomington North smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Bloomington North's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for New Albany, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4.
