South Lafourche extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Aubree Lombas. The Tarpons walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Crescent City Christian Pioneers on Friday with plenty of help from Lombas, who hit 100% for nine kills and 12 aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: South Lafourche took both sets by at least 21 points. The final score came out to 25-2, 25-4.

South Lafourche's win bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Crescent City Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-21 record this season.

Coincidentally, South Lafourche and Crescent City Christian will both be playing Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy the next time they take the court. The Tarpons will head out to face the Tigers at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Pioneers will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
