Preview: Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Faith Christian Patriots
The Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders and the Faith Christian Patriots will face off at 6:45 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Harrells Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests.
Even though Rocky Mount Academy scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, Harrells Christian Academy still came out on top. Harrells Christian Academy took their contest against Rocky Mount Academy 69-58. Winning is a bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 13 to 6 on the offensive boards, as Harrells Christian Academy did.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Harrells Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Antonio McKoy, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 12 rebounds. McKoy has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Zicareian Mcneil, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Meanwhile, Faith Christian put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 60-12 victory over Oakwood at home. The victory was just what Faith Christian needed coming off of a 88-62 defeat in their prior match.
Michael Grant continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Noah Mayo was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Harrells Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Faith Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Fans should be in for an exciting game on Thursday as both teams are among the highest scoring teams in the league right now. Harrells Christian Academy hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 65.8 points per game. However, it's not like Faith Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 64.2 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Everything went Harrells Christian Academy's way against Faith Christian in their previous matchup on Monday as Harrells Christian Academy made off with a 88-62 victory. With Harrells Christian Academy ahead 47-27 at the half, the match was all but over already.
