Baseball Recap: Sanderson Comes Up Short

Sanderson managed to slip by Franklinton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Sanderson Spartans came up short against the Franklinton Red Rams on Monday, falling 11-2. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Rams earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

GAINES STALLWORTH made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Sanderson now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Franklinton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coming up, Sanderson will host Garner at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Franklinton, they will head out to face off against Nash Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklinton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
