Basketball Recap: Crete-Monee Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Crete-Monee won the last time they faced Bremen and things went their way on Thursday too. The Crete-Monee Warriors walked away with a 40-30 win over the Bremen Braves. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Braves are ranked 460th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Crete-Monee and bumps their season record up to 9-2. As for Bremen, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Crete-Monee will challenge Joliet West on January 5, 2025. As for Bremen, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lockport at 6:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
