Softball Recap: Ralls Comes Up Short

If Ralls was riding high fresh off their 22-5 takedown of Olton last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Ralls fell 12-8 to the Hale Center Owls on Monday. The Jackrabbits were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Owls apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Natalie Johnson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Adyson Bartlett, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Ralls' loss dropped their record down to 8-11-1. As for Hale Center, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-5.

While Ralls had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
