Volleyball Recap: Chambers Comes Up Short

Chambers lost against Butler back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs.

Chambers may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored zero points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Chambers' loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Butler, North Mecklenburg, and Independence. As for the Bulldogs, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Chambers will challenge rival Independence at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Butler is set to square off against their familiar foe North Mecklenburg at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
