Basketball Game Preview: Ravenna Bluejays vs. Centura Centurions

The Ravenna Bluejays will take on the Centura Centurions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Ravenna has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while Centura will arrive with four straight victories.

On Tuesday, Ravenna took a blow against Elm Creek, falling 51-24. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 32nd).

Meanwhile, Centura's game on Tuesday was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 40-32 win over St. Paul.

Centura has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points per game. As for Ravenna, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.
