Recap: DeKalb Tigers vs. Stewartsville Cardinals
The DeKalb Tigers''s ten-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Friday. They snuck past Stewartsville with a 44-40 win. DeKalb's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
Luke Miller went supernova for DeKalb, picking up 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 148 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes. DeKalb also got a significant boost from Hayden Black, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 93 yards.
DeKalb's win bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Stewartsville, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-9.
DeKalb will face off against Plattsburg at TBD on Friday. Plattsburg will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. Stewartsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
