Baseball Recap: West Point Takes a Loss

West Point lost against Essex on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. West Point might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-2 to Essex, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Pointers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

West Point's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Essex, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

West Point will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Thomas Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on April 9. As for Essex, they will face off against Middlesex at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Essex is facing Middlesex at the right time seeing as Middlesex is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
