Seymour is 8-2 against Ansonia since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Chargers at 3:30 p.m. Seymour will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Monday, Seymour made easy work of Oxford and carried off an 11-4 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Ansonia won against Naugatuck on Monday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Chargers had just enough and edged out Torrington 6-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Ansonia pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Seymour, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.

Seymour skirted past Ansonia 4-3 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
