Preview: Chazy Eagles vs. Bolton Central Eagles
The Chazy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Bolton Central Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
After a string of three wins, Chazy's good fortune finally ran out two weeks ago. They were beaten by Boquet Valley 59-32. While losing is never fun, Chazy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 594th, while Boquet Valley is ranked 256th).
Even though Bolton Central has not done well against Loudonville Christian recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Bolton Central enjoyed a cozy 59-41 victory over Loudonville Christian.
Bolton Central relied on the efforts of Jaxon Egloff, who scored 15 points, and Sullivan Eager, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eager has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Hubert, who scored nine points.
Chazy's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Bolton Central, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-5.
Chazy came up short against Bolton Central in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 45-39. Can Chazy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
