Central skates past Ellwood Christian with ease

The Central Lions were handed a three-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against the Ellwood Christian Eagles on Monday. Central simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ellwood Christian 78-47 on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Central also won the last time the pair played last Monday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Iyanis Wallace, who scored 28 points along with six steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja?mez Fitzpatrick, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Central's victory ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-15. As for Ellwood Christian, they are on a 20-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ellwood Christian will head out on the road to take on West Blocton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
