Osage came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Northwood-Kensett Vikings. The result was nothing new for the Green Devils, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Osage's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Northwood-Kensett, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Osage is set to face off against their familiar foe Newman Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Green Devils 3.8, the Knights 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Northwood-Kensett will challenge rival North Butler at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
