Bridgeport is 7-2 against East Fairmont since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Indians will head out on the road to take on the Bees at 5:00 p.m.
On Monday, Bridgeport didn't have quite enough to beat Buckhannon-Upshur and fell 9-8. The Indians have struggled against the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Fairmont). They blew past Elkins 18-4 on Monday. With that victory, the Bees brought their scoring average up to 7.1 runs per game.
Reese Van Zant was incredible, scoring five runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Snyder, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Van Zant wasn't the only one making solid contact: East Fairmont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
East Fairmont's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Bridgeport, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
