Volleyball Recap: Warner Christian Academy Finds Home Court Redemption Against Crooms Academy + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Warner Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Crooms Academy Panthers on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 two weeks ago.

Warner Christian Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Crooms Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-14, 25-16, 18-25, 15-10.

Amara LaVelle paced Warner Christian Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. LaVelle got some help from Jackie Leon and her 21 assists. Gracie McCray controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Warner Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Crooms Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Warner Christian Academy will welcome Halifax Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crooms Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge The First Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
