Basketball Recap: Bluejacket Takes a Loss

Bluejacket was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cave Springs Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Chieftains have suffered since December 13, 2024.

Bluejacket's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Cave Springs, they moved to 5-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Bluejacket will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Oaks-Mission at 6:00 p.m. Bluejacket is facing Oaks-Mission at the right time seeing as Oaks-Mission is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Cave Springs, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-40 defeat against Afton on the 24th.
