Football Recap: Yuma Find Success + How To Watch

Yuma strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 28-27 W against the Torrington Trailblazers. The Outlaws have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trailblazers, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Yuma to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christian Thomson, who rushed for 146 yards and one score on only 14 carries. Those 146 rushing yards gave Thomson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Iann Duran, who rushed for 113 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Yuma was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 462 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 223 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Yuma's record now sits at 3-0. As for Torrington, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yuma will welcome Brush at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Torrington, they will square off against Lander Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Trailblazers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
