Baseball Recap: National Trail Takes a Loss

National Trail's last matchup with Twin Valley South could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Wednesday. The Blazers lost 9-3 to the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 back in April.

National Trail saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Smith, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Grady Ott also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

National Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Twin Valley South, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-13 record this season.

National Trail does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Twin Valley South, they will head out to challenge Fort Recovery at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
