Game recap: Brunswick high school football team bests Strongsville thanks to fourth quarter score

After taking the lead in the fourth quarter, Brunswick (Ohio) held on for a 27-16 victory over Strongsville (Ohio) on Saturday. The difference for the Blue Devils was Dan Yohman thew a touchdown to Brandon Broa.

The Blue Devils led 14-3 at halftime, but the Mustangs recaptured the lead on a passing touchdown with 4:00 left in the third. Brunswick grabbed hold of the lead when Yohman thew a touchdown to Broa with 11:00 left in the fourth quarter, and never relinquished it.

By the end of the third, BHS found itself trailing by 2 points as Strongsville captured the lead thanks to two scores in the quarter. SHS scored on a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown in the quarter.

The Blue Devils' standout player in the win was Yohman. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.

Coming into the game Brunswick had allowed 22.3 points per game this year.



A 31-14 Brunswick victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.

The victory was a step in the right direction for the Blue Devils, which was coming off a 26-14 defeat at the hands of Twinsburg in its previous game.

Strongsville (2-6) will play a Northeast Ohio - Valley game against Mentor next week, while Brunswick (5-3) will take on Solon also in a Northeast Ohio - Valley game.
