Basketball Recap: Blackduck Comes Up Short

Blackduck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Cass Lake-Bena Panthers 101-55. While losing is never fun, the Drakes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while the Panthers are ranked 182nd).

Blackduck's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Cass Lake-Bena, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blackduck will head out to face off against Walker-Hackensack-Akeley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cass Lake-Bena, they will face off against Kelliher/Northome at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
