Baseball Game Preview: Amador Buffaloes vs. Galt Warriors

For the second straight game, Amador will face off against Galt. The Buffaloes will face off against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Amador has three straight wins, Galt has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Wednesday, Amador made easy work of Galt and carried off a 10-4 victory. Considering the Buffaloes have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Brad Blankenheim, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. He has become a key player for Amador: the team is 2-0-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 5-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnny Melton, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Amador was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Galt's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Amador, the win got them back to even at 7-7-1.
